Behind the Camera: An Inside Look at the Day in the Life

  • by admin

I had always regarded photography to be a passion that gives me a feeling of purpose in the tasks that I do on a daily basis. This definition has been consistent throughout my whole life. During the time that I am attending Amity University in New Town, where I am working towards receiving a degree in Applied Psychology, I never leave my camera behind. I always look forward to the challenge of striking a balance between my academic pursuits and my passion for photography, despite the fact that it may be difficult to mix the two. For your perusal, I have provided you with a look into my day-to-day activities, which combine my passion for photography and my interest in psychology.

I choose to get up at an early hour in order to start my day. Most of the time, when I open my window in the morning, I am met by a soft light that has entered through the window. When it comes to my own life, I believe that the mornings are holy times that are reserved for contemplation and preparation. My final meal before leaving for my college, which is situated in New Town, was a speedy breakfast. I ate it before leaving. My favourite part of the vacation is the journey down, not only because it is quiet but also because it gives me the chance to ponder about the event that will take place the following day.

In the course of these journeys, I usually discover that I am able to come up with new ideas. My creative process is motivated by a range of scenarios, such as the way the early light plays on buildings, the looks on people's faces as they race to begin their day, or the unpretentious beauty of nature that can be discovered by the side of the road. To name just a few examples?

As soon as I get to Amity University, my day takes a different turn than I had planned it at the beginning. I find the study of human behaviour and emotions to be incredibly intriguing, and I was pleased to find that it complements my photography. I am now pursuing a degree in applied psychology. The amount of depth that my artwork possesses has increased as a result of my grasp of the psychological foundations that underlie moods, movements, and expressions.

In the time that I have between classes, I frequently sneak away to go at the images that I have taken or to prepare for the shoot that is scheduled to take place in the not too distant future. The camera that I carry with me at all times is always ready to catch the unforeseen moments that I come across, whether it be a buddy laughing, a peaceful moment in the library, or the architecture of the school. I always bring it with me, and it is always ready to capture such moments.

Once I have completed my studies at the college level, I plan to devote all of my time to photography. The chance exists that I will be able to go to new places, but there is also the possibility that I will have a shoot scheduled. Both of these options are possible. It is my belief that the process of planning is of the ultimate relevance of the situation. I feel that each and every photograph contains a narrative that is just waiting to be told, and because of this, I want to make sure that everything is in its proper place, from the setting to the lighting.

In the event that I am working with a model, I will make it a point to discuss it with them in order to ensure that we have a comprehensive grasp of the topic at hand. When one is attempting to transmit a certain feeling or story through the medium of photography, communication is of the highest significance. This aspect of communication is very important. It is something that I genuinely like doing, whether it be for creative assignments, portraiture, or simply capturing the essence of the city by itself. Working with people is something that I get a lot of satisfaction from.

One of my favourite times of the day is when I am able to take pictures during the golden hour, which is also occasionally referred to as the hour that comes right before sunset. When it comes into contact with anything, the light that is warm and gentle leaves a pleasant impression on all that it touches. On account of the fact that this fleeting moment is a photographer's dream come true, I make the most of every opportunity to capture the beauty of this fleeting moment.

Regardless of where I am, whether I am in the peaceful suburbs or the hectic streets of Kolkata, several opportunities are accessible to me during the golden hour. These opportunities are available to me regardless of where I am. It is during these times that I am able to feel the maximum degree of involvement and absorption in the creative process, as well as in my own artwork.

As the day draws to a close, I make my way back to my residence, eager to get started on the post-processing that has to be done. My photographs start to take shape at this moment, and the real magic starts to happen at this point as well. In the process of making each photograph, I invest a significant amount of time and energy, experimenting with a variety of shadows, colours, and contrasts in order to get the desired emotional response. Despite the fact that it is a challenging process, I find that it provides me with a tremendous deal of satisfaction.

Listening to music and using the rhythm to act as a source of inspiration for my thoughts is something that I do regularly while I am conceptualising a thought. The one-of-a-kind symphony that is produced when psychology, music, and photography are combined together is a perfect example of my aesthetic. By the time I've finished browsing through all of them, it appears as though each and every one of the photographs captures a small portion of who I am and the way that I view the world.

A photographer faces new challenges and opportunities on a daily basis, and each day is unique in its own way. Each day is challenging and full of fresh ideas. In spite of the fact that it is not always easy for me to strike a healthy balance between my love life and my studies, I find that it is the variety and the unpredictability that keeps me going. I am now blessed to explore and perceive beauty in most ordinary things, which is a result of a transformation in my view on the world. In addition, I am now being able to preserve moments through photography that I would not have been able to notice in the past.

As I go with my voyage, I can't wait to keep an eye on the lens and find out where it will take me next. I can't wait to share all of these experiences with you if you are interested in hearing them. Every single day, there is a new chance to learn something new and to tell a new story, and I can really look forward to doing so.

I strongly feel that one should never stop discovering new things and making new things, and by all means, never forget that magic is all around us, waiting to be discovered. I hope I never cease doing one of these things.
